Talken collaborates with artist Soun Hong and the Total Museum of Contemporary Art
We’re thrilled to announce that Talken has collaborated with Korea’s renowned painting installation artist Soun Hong and “Total Museum of Contemporary Art” to be scheduled to release artist Soun Hong’s NFT drop.
‘Aquarium-1402’, which will be dropped as an NFT, is one of artist Hong’s ‘Sidescapes’ series; it is evaluated as one of Hong’s masterpieces that was derived from his creative and experimental artist world, which consisted of a wide range of fields including painting, installation, printmaking, three-dimensional, and sculpture.
“Aquarium-1402” NFT issuance originated from artist Soun Hong’s concerns about what meaningful social value creation there is when new technologies meet fine art in a rapidly changing art environment.
The Total Museum of Contemporary Art, which supports the issuance of “Aquarium-1402” NFT, will also provide membership to NFT holders as a benefit.
“Aquarium-1402” NFT will be available for purchase through Talken’s NFT marketplace at the end of next month, and a portion of the sales proceeds will be donated to animal welfare organizations, etc.
About artist Soun Hong :
‘Sidescape’ is one of Hong’s artworks that extracts controversial images from the media dealing with social issues. His artwork exhibition was displayed in the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, Seoul Museum of Art, Gyeonggi Museum of Art, Ho-Am Museum of Art, Ecole National Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France, and the Supreme Court, Seoul, Korea.
