Talken is introducing a governance system that allows community members to directly participate in key platform decisions.
All TALK token holders can vote on decisions that shape the platform’s future through two platforms: the native Talken governance service and Snapshot.
The Governance Process
Proposal and Refinement
Community members can submit proposals through Talken Telegram or Discord channel, covering platform improvements, new features, policy changes, and more. Each proposal undergoes a week-long community discussion period for development and refinement.
Voting
Once a proposal is finalized through community discussion, governance token holders can use their tokens to vote for or against the proposal. Voting takes place within the Talken governance for a week and can also be conducted via Snapshot.
Outcome
Based on the voting results, the proposal is either approved or rejected. Approved proposals move on to the implementation stage.
Voting Rights
Voting rights are determined by the total amount of TALK tokens held across multiple blockchain networks. Each network’s TALK token contract addresses are as follows:
- Ethereum(ERC20): 0xCAabCaA4ca42e1d86dE1a201c818639def0ba7A7
- BNB Chain: 0x7D61D3752F759c71f5291358408947aFf7b0Ff2c
- Polygon: 0xE7e72bE51C3b4E1F3cEB34e177e1bA1c1744fD7d
- Kaia: 0x55863cb9a7f92c134e9f8edb6c655b92d60493b5
Important Note
Users can only vote on proposals created after they obtain voting rights. Proposals created before users gained voting rights are not eligible for voting.
